you would likely reduce the volume when on a cut….your routine does not have to change…..you are 140lbs you do not need to cut ….thats it…

i agree that you shouldnt really be cutting. but hey your going to do what your going to do, nothing anyone says here will change your mind. but anyway….

too many people stop lifting heavy when they start a cut. they lift heavy during a bulk and then for some reason stop training heavy and start lifting light weights for lots of reps when cutting, lifting heavy weights will give you myofibrillar muscle growth, meaning that you will get dense and hard muscle instead of that bloaty looking muscle you see in the gym all the time.

cutting and bulking are done in the kitchen imo. maybe on a cut you could focus a little more on training your abs.

I didnt say do that….if you slowly gain weight and put in work in the gym most of the weight you gain will be muscle….if you gain 5lbs and 4 of it is muscle you bf% will go down get what I am saying…

It's very doable, it just takes longer.

Even if you hand considerable fat to lose a beginner doesn't need to alter their training, just pick a solid routine and don't try to cut more then 1lb a week.

I do agree more advanced trainees need to cut volume a bit

You should NOT change your training at all during a cut. Very rarely, if you are doing a TON of volume, and cutting heavily, you might have to cut some volume

What are you going to cut to? 10%? You are 17% now. Let's assume you lose fat only on your 'cut'. At 150 lbs, you would cut 10.5 lbs. You'd be right back at 140 and look no different than you did before because you have undeveloped abs. Complete waste of time, imo. Post before, current and after pics if you decide to do this. I'm genuinely interested.
